How does a real voice sound different from a synthetic AI voice?

Guests can't always name it, but they feel it. A real human voice brings micro-pauses, genuine emphasis, and tonal warmth that synthetic voices approximate but don't replicate. For a stay someone's about to book, the voice telling the story should sound like it belongs there.

What if the video doesn't match what I imagined?

Every purchase includes one revision. If the result genuinely doesn't represent your property the way you'd hoped, just let us know — we're not interested in hosts who don't see the value, we're interested in hosts who become case studies.

Do I have to subscribe to anything?

No. There's no subscription at all — you pay once per property, whenever you have a new listing to narrate. No contract, no recurring charge, no plan to manage.

I have more than one property — do I need to pay again for each?

Yes — each property is its own flat one-time purchase. That's actually the point: you only ever pay for the videos you need, whenever you need them, with nothing recurring in the background.

Do I need to provide photos or video footage?

Yes — listing photos are supplied by you when you submit your property. Most hosts already have good listing photos on hand, and those work perfectly. If you have video footage, even better — we'll incorporate it directly. What we don't do is send a photographer to the property — the visuals are yours, the production is ours.

How long will my video be?

For most properties, between 60 and 90 seconds — and that's intentional. Shorter videos tend to hold viewer attention all the way through, while longer ones lose people well before the end. Your photo count naturally determines the length: roughly 4 seconds per photo, plus your narration and a closing card. A 15-photo listing produces about a 60-second video; a 20-photo listing runs about 80 seconds. For larger or feature-rich properties where more time is genuinely warranted, you can request an extended cut of up to 2-3 minutes for YouTube or your own website — just note it on your submission.

Do I get to approve the script before you record it?

Yes, always. Once your script is written we send it to you for review before a single word is recorded. You have 12 hours to request changes — after that, production proceeds on the approved draft to keep your 48-hour delivery on track. If you need a revision after reviewing, just let us know and we'll turn it around promptly. Your property, your voice, your approval.

Can I provide my own script?

Absolutely — script writing is included, but if you already have copy you love, send it along. All scripts go through the same review process regardless of origin. We may make minor phrasing adjustments to optimize for spoken delivery — written language and spoken language have different rhythms, and a small tweak can make a significant difference in how it sounds. Your content, key details, and intent are always preserved. You'll see and approve the final script before we record.

Will your branding appear in my video?

Your video is yours — your brand, your listing, your guests. By default we include a small, tasteful "Narrated by SpokenStay" credit at the very end of the video, lasting just a couple of seconds. It doesn't interrupt the listing experience and most hosts are comfortable with it. If you'd prefer a completely clean video with no production credit, you can toggle that off in your account dashboard at any time — no questions asked.
